Bio

I got involved in this ministry ever since I relocated to Dayton. What attracted me to the ministry was the love and passion that I always have for the needy. I had always played a key role in humanitarian services ever since high school and it is my pleasure to serve in this ministry not only to serve the needy but also to help them to shape their way in heaven where we believe that there will be no problem related to what people are experiencing on earth.

While i was in school , I served as President and co-founder of a local nonprofit organization “Association des Jeunes Courageux” (AJC), an organization formed by young people to help young kids homeless in Burundi and advocate for their problem including poverty, health issue and family reunification.

After I graduated from the university, I started my own non profit organization “International Training and Development Center” (ITDC) whose mission was to seek better Burundian civil society in promoting good governance, fighting against corruption, violence against women , fighting poverty and improving education system in the country. I also worked as a volunteer at Jabe SDA church in Burundi as an adult Sabbath School teacher. I was moreover in charge of organizing marriage counseling sessions.

Upon arriving in USA in 2011, in Portland Maine where I lived for 4 years, I was a Multicultural Case Worker at Preble Street in the Teen Center Program where I worked to help young runaway youth and homeless by building a positive relationship with them, enhancing their self-esteem, offering them the opportunity to develop life skills that promote stability and independence.

I hold membership in different social network such as Global Youth Anticorruption Network (GYAC) and the Network of African Youth for Development (NYAD). I also hold a certificate from the Word Bank Institute in poverty reduction, conflict and fragility in developing countries and a couple from University of Southern Maine USM granted by the Maine Department of Human Services as Personal Support Specialist and a certificate of Mental Health Support Specialist.

I had a Personal experience of the negative effects of poverty, underdevelopment and other community related problems. I believe that our problems are never beyond our power to solve them and that we all have a role in making our world a better place. That is the reason why I decided to be part of this ministry, to make a difference.
